Howdy from Laser!

Howdy, my name is Laser, the Guard Dog. I'm a good ole country boy and spend my days watching over my family and friends. It took me quite a deal to get to my forever home at the Jenkins ranch in Holden, Missouri. I guess you'd say I'm a survivor. It takes alot to get this ole boy down.

At my last home, I decided to go trick-or-treatin' one year and guess I forgot to wear my reflective gear and was hit by a car. That kinda hurt. It took some mighty good doctorin' from my friend Kara and the gang at K-State. They called it life-saving surgery. I called it a lot of extra loving and cuddling...and a few extra treats now and then. Thanks, Kara!

We got a few acres down here and I sure like exploring it. Sometimes my neighbor friend, Sandy, comes down and we set out on a big adventure in the woods. Now I always come back home to my family. They really need me.

The only other critters on our ranch right now are cats. I sure do like teasing them. Don't tell anyone...but I sure like havin' em around. We just had a new litter of kittens. They sure are cute.

Be sure and help me help other homeless guard dogs like myself. We gotta find 'em all a home like mine.

See you down the road!

Laser Fosters Kittens!

Laser Loves Kittens!

There was a cat that some silly human dumped on our property. We already had a herd of barn cats and well...you know how cats can be...they didn't take kindly to a new girl on the farm. So, I let her bunk with me. Next thing you know, she was expecting some young'uns. Well, I couldn't just let her have those babies alone. So, we tucked her in my dog house for the big day. Guess what...we had 4 little cuties. I was so proud. Gotta keep a good watch over them.

Kicking Back on the Spittin' Porch

I really enjoy the great outdoors and appreciating all God's creation. When I'm not out checkin' fences or patrollin' the area, you can find me in my favorite spot on the front porch were I keep a good eye on all the activity...we get a lot of activity here in the country. My job is to keep my family and friends safe, humans and the rest of us alike! I take that job very seriously...can't you tell!

Publicity for my animal friends
All this publicity takes some getting used to but it is for a great cause, my other animal friends who need homes. If you go to http://www.waysidewaifs.org, you will find pictures of some of the many animal friends who are available for adoption. That is a big word for us country boys but it means you will love them and hug them and call them your very own. Think about it!
